BinTrackerPro is a service provided by Cross Logic Digital (“we”, “us”) that helps distributors keep their customers' bins stocked. It is used by businesses (our customers) and by the people they choose to give access: their administrators, sales reps, warehouse staff and their own customers. This policy covers the BinTrackerPro website and the BinTrackerPro iPhone and iPad app.
Who is responsible for your information
Accounts are created and managed by the business that uses BinTrackerPro, not by you. For the records a business keeps in the service (its customers, products, routes, visits and orders), that business decides what is collected and why, and we handle the information on its behalf to run the service. For sign-in, billing of our business customers and running the service securely, we decide how the information is used. If you have a question about what your employer or supplier holds about you, start with them; we will help them answer it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address, the role you have (for example sales rep or warehouse) and the business you belong to. Your password is stored only in a hashed form; we can't read it. If your administrator sets a password for you, they will know that password until you use it.
- Business records you or your business enter. Customer names, delivery addresses and phone numbers, product catalogs, bin counts, visits, orders, requests, routes and notes. This is the working data of the service.
- Notification token. If you allow notifications in the app, your phone gives us a token that lets Apple deliver them to it. Notification text can include business information such as a customer's name or a route name, and is delivered through Apple's notification service.
- Face ID. If you turn it on, your sign-in is kept in your phone's secure Keychain and unlocked with Face ID. Your face data stays on your device; we never receive it.
- Data kept on your device. So the app works with no signal, it keeps today's route, its customers and bins, and any work you haven't sent yet on your phone, along with a saved copy of the app's own pages. Signing out clears the route and customer data; work that hasn't been sent yet is kept until it can be sent.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard request details such as IP address, browser or device type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running. If a page crashes we may receive a short error report (the error message and where it happened) with no information about you.
- Billing. Businesses pay by card through Stripe. We receive payment status and a Stripe customer reference, never the card number.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera, and the app has no advertising or analytics tracking.
How we use it
To sign you in and show you the right information; to run the service (routes, orders, notifications, the customer portal); to send the emails the service needs, such as invitations and password resets; to bill our business customers; to keep the service secure and fix problems; and to answer support requests. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run BinTrackerPro, each of which handles it only for that purpose:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Netlify: website and application hosting.
- Stripe: payments for business customers.
- Resend: delivery of invitation and password-reset emails.
- Apple: delivery of push notifications to the app.
- Google Fonts: some website pages (not the rep app) load fonts from Google, which means your browser contacts Google when they load.
Within a business, information is visible to the people that business has given access to, according to their role. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect the service and its users.
Cookies and similar storage
We use only what the service needs to work: a sign-in session cookie, a cookie that remembers which workspace address you are on, and storage on your device for offline use (described above). We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep an account and a business's records while the business uses the service. Visit and order records are business records, so removing a person's access keeps the history attributed to them. When a business ends its use of the service, or asks us to delete information, we will act on the request promptly and tell you if the law requires us to keep anything. Our providers may hold routine backups for a limited period.
Your choices
- See, correct or delete your information, or close your account. Ask your business's administrator, who manages accounts, or contact us at crosslogicdigital@gmail.com and we will help.
- Notifications. Turn them off in the iPhone Settings app under Notifications → BinTrackerPro.
- Face ID. Turn it off from the sign-in screen (“Turn off Face ID on this phone”) or in iPhone Settings.
- Passwords. Your administrator can reset your password.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal information. Contact us and we'll respond to any request to exercise them.
Security
Connections to the service are encrypted, each business's data is kept separate from every other business's, and access is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure, so if you notice something wrong, please tell us.
Where information is processed
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
Children
BinTrackerPro is for people who work with, or buy from, a business. It is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell businesses using the service.
